You go around, gather resources, then build a fort around the objective and defend it

instanced missions where you gather materials, build a base around a van/crash site/reactor core/whatever else it's all the same shit, fight off a few waves of zombies, then the mission ends, and you do it again in a new area.

There's lots of crafting and RNG rolling loot crates (Which you pay real money for) to try and remain relevant past the first ten missions which are so braindead easy that people are complaining about how easy they are. Like even normies are complaining.
