I already placed Nier:A on my GOTY before it came out

Destiny 2's gameplay was Halo perfected. I'm not sarcastic or joking. Destiny 1 felt okay, and I sperged out over digging into the lore and I have 1K hours in it (which isn't as much as many, but it is the most I have ever played a single game) because I came back to it after how shit Halo 5 was. And I fell in love because I realized that Activision fucked it all up, but Bungie really wanted to succeed as they kept fixing things through the DLCs and fuck, I even fell for fucking microtransactions. It wasn't quite Halo, but it was Bungie and it was a damn good shooter with great multiplayer experience.

But Destiny 2 brought back the weight and higher ttk and team play and 4v4. Countdown and NuControl were a blast and it was the most fun I have had in a video game in a long time. The strikes length and depth and detail and enemy variety had me giddy, despite the gratingly annoying/cute dual personality of Failsafe. Not to mention the boss arena(s) and hazards.

FUCK, dude. I had never ordered video game shirts or bought fucking mega bloks for a game I liked until Destiny. I can feel the autistic obsession, man. And Destiny 2 looks like it will only get better. Destiny 2 is going to be everything Bungie wished Halo could have become.

I really like good stories in games. Call the gameplay simplistic, but it's still fun. Combined with an amazing original score and character development, it makes Uncharted 4 my goty by far

FF8 may be the most underrated final fantasy to ever be made. Im on disc 2 and playing it for the first time and holy fuck this game is genius. Beyond the narrative and the characters being fucking amazing, the gameplay essentially allows you to adjust your difficult and gives you the most customization ever in an FF game. The way they approach battles is great, the GF system is fun, and the OST is godly. Is there some major catastrophe after disc 2? because so far this game is a 10/10 and I dont understand the hate
