If you pre-ordered an SNES Classic game console from Walmart last week, your order may have been cancelled. There have been a lot of rumors flying around out there about why exactly the orders were cancelled. According to comments over at Nowinstock, multiple pre-order buyers are confirming their orders were cancelled. Reports indicate that the cancellations weren't because Walmart oversold their SNES Classic allotment. That is good news in a way, because it means those of you with cancelled orders still have a chance.

The reason your order was cancelled wasn't due to a payment issue either. Orders were cancelled because the person in charge of the "Go" button over at Walmart pressed it too soon. This was confirmed by a chat conversation that Twitter user Matt Rodriguez had with someone who appears to be from the Walmart customer service team.

I've seen clean and complete systems go for £70-80 if you don't mind about yellowing you can knock £10-15 off that. Get a flashcart which will cost just under £100 and it'll cost far less than a scalped mini but have far more content.

The original Zelda is my favorite. Minish Cap was just thoroughly underwhelming and could be beaten without any thought or skill. I never had any trouble getting through any of its dungeons or beating any of its bosses, and I felt no desire to collect all of the heart pieces like I do with most Zelda games. I ended up beating Vaati with 11 heart containers with no issue.

The Oracle games were great, Minish Cap sucked.

You can't make repro carts of games that use special chips without sacrificing another cartridge that uses those chips and even the best SNES flash cart out there does not support the SA-1 or Super FX chips, meaning you can't play stuff like Kirby Super Star, Super Mario RPG, Star Fox, or Yoshi's Island on a flash cart.

The SNES Classic plays all of those for less than it what it costs to buy carts of all of those games, plus it lets people play 17 more games all in a simple, convenient, and officially-licensed package.

Yes, it does. Super Mario RPG crashes on the latest version of ZSNES. The sound emulation is awful and is especially noticeable in games like Earthworm Jim 2. ZSNES can't properly display the pseudo-highres mode translucency that's utilized in Kirby's Dream Land 3. It has timing errors that cause numerous graphical glitches in numerous games. ROMs can exploit the emulator to open malicious pages in your web browser. For many speedruns, ZSNES is banned because of how inaccurate of an emulator it is.
