I suppose I'm just too good to give any reliable tips for newbies then, Ludwig has pretty simple patterns and telegraphs his attacks like mad. Just hug his right in phase 1 (using serrated and fire paper) and attack during the openings in phase 2.

I personally always try to rush the DLC because I find it very exciting early on.
