In computer programming, a function is a type that performs a specific task. It can be as simple as returning a numerical value to the user or a different function altogether. I believe Combofiend refers to characters as functions in that their moveset is filled with attacks which activates a specific hitbox with the total number of frames stored in some variable. The amount of damage that an attack does can also be returned by a specific function.

No one is as obnoxiously vocal or hostile as Taki fucks. At least Talim, Yunseong, Zasalamel, and to a lesser extent Seong Mina players are justified in being upset because their characters dudn't even have successors. Taki not only gets one, but one that updates her moveset in very positive ways while being a strong character in her own right but you'd think there was no ninja in SCV at all.
