For me, PC version of Dead Rising 1 trumps all. Which isn't to say that Dead Rising 2 is a bad game; I just enjoy the story, tone, and overall sense of urgency in the first game more.

I like that Frank is ugly. Makes him seem like more of a normal guy (which I know sounds absurd, considering his feats of strength). It's a lot more charming than the Micheal de Santa clone from DR4.

1 had a better setting, props, story, psychopaths, and main character. Camera was fun too.

Controls were clunky and AI is some of the worst I've ever seen.


2 fixed everything about the gameplay from controls to aiming to AI. Lots more polish in that regard. Also controversial opinion: The mission times felt a tiny bit more lenient than 1 in a good way.

Weapon combination kinda took value out of a lot of regular weapons when i could just carry 3 knifegloves. Chuck was a bland character and zombrex was stupid.
