Champions Covenant, it was a new thing they added to it along with the Agape Ring for no soul gain and Aldia.
As for the Ruin set, I'm pretty sure the Sentinels ignore it. They are a unique enemy so those 14-15 respawns is all you get in NG.

Also if you ever farm in DaS 2/SotFS, only wear the ring. I'm absolutely certain there's some fuckery involved with item drops when you wear more than one item to increase it. Trust me, ring is all you need.
