I'm a huge fan of horror games, so it's becoming really difficult for me to find good recent and decent games...

Concerning Fatal Frame, I love the series, it's one of the few that makes me really unsettled. i tried Dreadout but it was not nearly as good...

Have ya played the Cold Fear? Probably the best and most atmospheric "RE4 clone" there was. On the same breath, maybe try one of the newer, fan-made PC ports of Doom 64?

I might give Cold Fear a new chance, I tried when it was released but I don't remember going very far in the game

Can you explain why? I played them recently and they seriously had no effect on me what so ever, i started with the first one and nothing, skipped it and went with the 2nd one and also nothing.

I do man, i can immerse myself in a lot of titles, but something just didnt click with me in Fatal Frame, like the enemies are not that spooky for some reason.

if the environment and atmosphere are not doing anything to you, then you are kinda missing the point.

even in SH games, the monsters are the least scary thing in the experiences.
