I don't know what the hell happened but in the last 5 years or so I simply can't enjoy games that much anymore. Everything I play feels like a damn chore and a time sink...
I feel like (even though I can barely even remember anymore) when I played games a decade ago it was incredible always fun discovering a new game, but I feel everything nowadays is unfulfilling and I cant figure out whether it's the games or me...
What's wrong with me /v/? Anyone else have the same problem?
Also, last game I remember enjoying thoroughly was pic related.

It's you getting older and the fact that gaming has basically become either rehashed trash or multicultural trash.Tired franchises and the idiots who keeping feeding them money to see if the next piece of garbage will be better than the last piece of garbage are enough to make you walk away from it forever and just get laid.

I'm in the same spot, but mostly because all games look and feel the same, with 10-30 minutes you already know where everything is going, and with no appealing characters or character development I really don't feel like spending 5+ hours doing chores to see some small cutscene or whatever.
I started going my own sprites and shit just for fun, there's a little community game called vermin which uses user made OC and placed into a cockfight simulator. It's rather primitive but it motivated me to draw shit and design silly characters, I think after playing so many games I can at least put some of the concepts I'd like into an actual mini game.

That's exactly what I think as well anon, except...
Ever since I stopped enjoying gaming I also started feeling kind of empty (maybe because I've played them so much and it became my main activity?). I also consider myself to be fairly successful in life in general and happy, I just can't get past this feeling that's bothering me.

Sounds like you're finally getting out of it then through your creativity. Good luck man.
How about you play videogames instead of making this thread for the third time?

First time I made a thread like this, but I think I know what I'm going to do now...

I usually just play some old PS2 games that I never played before to satisfy my hole. You might be different obviously. Why not try a new hobby or learn a new skill or something.I mean, gaming will always be in your heart but there is a line ya know.
