thread over in 3 post. I like the story and to a lesser extent the music of protomen, but the screeching vocalist is pretty bad and keeps it from being amazing to just kinda good.

Even ignoring the offkey caterwauling of said vocalist, the story gets lost many times as he becomes absolutely undecipherable at points, and it can be troublesome to keep track of what character is talking. If you aren't reading the lyrics along while listening along you miss a large part of whats going on.

Overall I liked it, but it isnt the holy grail of vidya music v seems to think it is

It's a tonal mess that can't decide what it's going for half the time. The intro is solid, father of death is solid, breaking out is overshadowed by keep quiet and light up the night, the hounds is okay, but when listened to in sequence it's a chore. Their first album is shit save for 2 songs. Their queen album is shit. And I don't even know if act 3 is out yet but hold back the night is a fucking good awful track. Fuck the protomen

I listened to both albums and I only liked The Stand and Sons of Fate desu

Funny story about this CD.
Back at the first PAX EAST, I waited in line to meet the crew from Xplay. This was about 7 years ago, so I've forgiven myself.
Anyway, some dude came over and gave Adam, Morgan and the other guy a free copy of Act II, The Father of Death, and somehow I stole Sesslers copy when I picked up my autographed picture.
Tried emailing the dude about it, never got a response lol.
