There's a somewhat steady flow of games.

The games are fun.

It's distancing itself from the Wii branding.

It released in March which gives it momentum for holiday season.

Although it has its flaws..it will be a solid system and a success

Let's hope they implement a new online system and change voice chat options down the road. Also..a premium model made of glass for adults would be a smart idea.

the N64 and DS eras were flops. Nintendo is largely shitty at marketing and design, but when they find something that works, they stick to it as long as it will continue to work.

When we talk about consoles, they were.
The N64 had 1/3 the player base of the PS1, and the WiiU was completely blown out. The Wii had an incidental boom, and then fell into obscurity after a year. the Gamecube is also dismal compared to the Xbox and PS2 in particular.

Handhelds, Nintendo has always done well because the foundation Gunpei Yokoi set was strong.
