Does anybody else have frame pacing issues on the pc? With vsync enabled my frame times jump from 14ms to 18ms. It fucking sucks.
Without vsync it tears like absolute ass

I am an avid console shooter player, I played CoD4 quite heavily, and Halo 5 religiously, I played Destiny quite as hard. Halo 5 is probably my favorite shooter since Halo 2, and I didn't play much CoD after 4 besides Black Ops. I feel like CoD games are highly antisocial and remove the team/competitive element from shooters, which is what I like best.

I recently bought TF2 on sale.

My impressions after having played on and off over the last month or so:

It's Call of Duty and Hawken at the same time.
It's most played gametype is also it's most boring; attrition is filled with AI controlled ads, and humans basically spend most of the game avoiding each other until their mechs can land.
Once they do, the game changes into the mech battles. Players can choose to stay on foot and call down their mech on auto or guard mode. I do this. Your mech is MOSTLY ineffective, but I have gotten pilot (player) kills this way from my mech. I play Northstar or Scorch.

The game is not bad by any means, it's ridiculously fast-paced, it's movement is quite fun, it's guns are kind of boring, and if you play any mode outside of Attrition, you will experience actual tension and combat, which is rewarding. I feel like Attrition is kind of just the public pool. You log on, shoot, get bored, log off. If you really want to see what this game is about you should play the other modes. Elsewise you're in a boring, undirected PvE with annoying counter-ops flying about.

Anyway, pretty fun, I still play it here or there.

is this worth pirating just for the campaign?

I have pc and ps4 and find ps4 faster matchmaking on average, but both are comparable.
I originally got it on ps4, later on pc for m+kb, but the heavy handed aim assist really gimps the game on pc.
