In my experience some of it depends how good the tanks can co-ordinate (Akh Morn stack, good split of adds) and if they did their fucking job quest and the fact that tail MIGHT be hard to see during the last one depending on where it is gonna smash.

I MT'd it fine for my first clear, i then experienced some wipes after my clear though, and that is generally due obvious stuff, Healers not getting the opening TW, MASS CONFUSION during ad phase (I like to give the directions of having MT grab Big and OT Small and have big get kill order 1 just to make it so people have instructions, even though it is fully possible to solo tank and AoE it all at once past that gives a better success rate in my experience) other tank running away instead of stacking, half the group getting smashed or failing the MASH TO NOT DIE, and that is without going into shitters going to it before doing their 70 Job quest.

I think it might be a perspective thing. O2 as a tank was some of the most boring content I've done. The fight lasts forever and all I really do is sit in one place for most the fight and reposition the boss a few times. O2S had tank swaps, tank busters, the need to drop tentacles in the right place, stack to split damage, stack to get knocked back in the right place, and split group to avoid AoE damage during the knock up. It was pretty wild.

They are and you should never join those. It can be hard to really meet people when you're constantly in dungeons with players from other servers. Maybe search around for some social linkshells and make a few friends. You'll likely be invited to a more personal FC that way. Depends what you're looking for. I've done that before, a guy in my old FC decided to DC after throwing a fit at the other DPS, so I contacted support and asked them to look into the matter. When he logged back on an hour later, he got put on that 24 hour can't queue for dungeons thing.

I've also done it where someone disconnects and waits for about five minutes to get kicked and I just sit AFK until the dungeon closes. Just go watch some youtube or something while I wait, because chances are if you're disconnecting so often you can't take a single more without a large penalty, you're probably a big enough baby that you need a punishment.

I want to raid, it's just incredibly hard to find a group that matches my exact tastes.

I play a lot of games with various people, so I can't really run a three or four night a week raid schedule, especially when they're only like 3 or 4 hours at a time. I just want to hop in a raid group after work one day, sit in raid for six or seven hours, down as much content as we can, and then come back next week. I don't care if we down bosses on our first go, so long as we're making a solid attempt for a few hours, that's good enough for me, because I know eventually if we keep practicing, we'll complete it.

Instead, I find "casual" raiders who quit ten minutes after setting foot into a raid they didn't clear on the first attempt, and "hardcore" raiders who often have the professional personalities I'm looking for but keep long schedules I can't quite commit to. The so-called "midcore" raiders are a complete joke, most of them have all the entitlement of hardcore raiders with none of the skill or patience.

I'm about to just bite the bullet and sign up full time with a hardcore group, because having a ton of raid nights is probably better than not raiding at all, which is basically what the other groups amount to.
