I don't agree that those games with constant flight and beam struggles actually feel like Dragonball simulators. I want to address this because some people think the demo characters are too samey.

Frieza and Buu are very different from the others. Frieza is based on ki pressuring. His Earth breaker is an instant wallbounce that cancels into any of his other moves. And his Light Ball has a unique property where it's only cinematic if it captures an enemy when you first use it, dragging the opponent to the other end of the screen and can chain directly into deathball.

So most characters have something to make them special, Frieza just wasn't used well during Evo, not until the grand finals.

Worked out for every other DBZ fighting game that had Kid Gohan, Kid Trunks, Goten, or Uub in it. I don't remember having trouble hitting any of them in Budokai 2 or 3.
Even when I was Broly I didn't have trouble with them.

I don't like Super but it's obvious that Hit and Black Rose/Zamasu are unique characters for a fighting game and the funny thing is that they are the 3 most popular characters that came first in the timeline so if they want to put Super characters in the game, it would be them and there is nothing wrong with it unlike Caulifla and Kale who brings nothing to the table (for now).

In the end, I really don't care if they are in or not, but not them since they are trying so hard to convince themself that there will never be Super stuff in the game. The reality will probably hit them fucking hard, like those nintentards with Monster Hunter World.

I hate Super with a passion but I think Hit is a unique fairly interesting character and I would be fine if out of all the Super character he got in.

His time stop will be one of his supers. I also imagine it as an assist he can use a limited amount of times to reset the field if you wiff hard but can't be used if you're getting combo'd, kind of like X-factor.

Has anyone confirmed whether or not you need to pre order the game first in order to sign up for the beta?

I'm assuming if not you just enter your email and select your platform, then if you're lucky and get picked you'll get a link or whatever.

So it seems like the beta is most definitely coming out tomorrow.
If it's a universal release, then it comes out in 7 hours, that way it's technically the 26th all around the world so everyone gets it at the same time. However if this is western-time based it could come out any time tomorrow, not today.
Let's hope it's not western only.

They never said it, people just assume that the way that Dragon Rush & Pursuit work requires it. Pursuit, sure, but I'm sure they could just change how Dragon Rush works for a character; it's essentially the replacement for Normal Throws and a combo starter, so just have a character's Dragon Rush not launch them into the air if they can't chase after them. If they want to go out of their way to make a character that canonically can't fly in ANY way, they'd figure it out.

The REALLY stupid thing is people using the fact that it's not totally binding to assume that they'll add characters that can't fight at all.

The rule isn't "if they can't fly they're not in", it's "if they don't have any source material to go off of, or don't add anything to the game, they're not in." So non-combatants and characters that don't fight differently enough to warrant inclusion, besides the obligatories.
