Its issue is that nintendo actively sabotage its final stage to the point it fails to convey it is supposed to be Shogun-themed, and basically feels like it abandones the theme Dewott was hinting at (Samurai) because theya ctively refuse to show it in bipedal poses and give it WEEB animations.

Samurott is probably the biggest evolution fumble since Masquerain.
