Post your favorite vidya class/job.
I'll start with an easy one.
>Eh? Those spellcasters don't even wear full plate armor?
>They really are pathetic, aren't they?

someone must support the team.

What class is that?
Mine would be Knight Commander maybe?
Only Ozma can use it though

I did it like 3 seconds after I posted. I didn't remember Scholar ever being a FF job, and thought it was new for FFXIV. I really like the idea behind Xiv sch, and it's my main job.
>>385105420
>I didn't remember Scholar ever being a FF job
Hahaha faggot. You never played 3 right?
>>385103349
I've always liked Bard classes. I like the idea of using music as a conduit for magic or however they decide to make it work. I also like supporty roles, so they appeal to me. Alternatively, I also don't mind them when they're a balanced class between support and attack.
In particular I like Edward from FFIV for becoming an absurd character in the final dungeon, outspeeding everyone and dealing as much damage as Cecil.

I did, played 2-6 on my emulator, but that is 15-16 years ago

Fair enough, Scholar is definitely not a memorable Job or a popular one.
Geomancers or anything using the environment are usually a favourite of mine, too bad they're often kind of crappy. Also bards, loved playing minstrel in LOTRO and killing enemies by playing my lute.
11:15, restate my assumptions:
1. Mathematics is the language of nature.
2. Everything around us can be represented and understood through numbers.
3. If you graph these numbers, patterns emerge.
Therefore: There are patterns everywhere in nature.

What other games let you play a Mathemautist?
Merchant is a very underused class. Bards and monks are also very fun to use in games
>>385106237
Pretty sure that was it.
Why are ninjas always op in SE job based games ?
>>385103349
More like your favorite vidya assjob, amirite?
>>385106414
>Merchant is a very underused class.
And that's well-deserved. It's usually boring and underpowered. Only useful for autists who love to grind in the early game.

Dual wielding. Attacking twice is better than attacking once
Look at this face. This face says "I'm about to summon a god and fuck your entire army's life up." I love the massive, powerful, awe-inspiring summons of FF. I feel like 14's summoner really fails to live up to that. Oh well.

Are they?
I remember samurai in FFT being really useful with Iaito and samurai in FFXIV deals huge as fuck deeps.
What about the /r9k/ Job?
>>385107095
Freelancer.
>>385107225
/r9k/'s Job is Heretic Knight though
I really liked Bravely Default's Spell Fencer and Ranger jobs.
>ever not hitting weak points
>>385107376
>/r9k/
>anything other than plain and boring
Heretic Knight may embody the spirit of /r9k/, but freelancer's poor abilities seem more realistic if someone from /r9k/ was in a game.

I'll typhoon you to Rimuldar, you moulted parrot.
>>385107040
FF5, bravely default too

They are pretty bad in tactics ogre though

>music as a conduit for magic
This is the best kind of bard. I'm always bummed out when they make it an archer type, like in FF14 and RO.
