This, though when trying to play Yakuza 2 I ran into trouble playing it on my slim and I found out Yakuza 2 is a dual-layered disc and certain fat and slim models have trouble with dual-layered discs so I had to get a family member to give me their fat ps2 that to play it.

It's the one console I collect for. Personal favorites would be all three Ace Combats, Shadow Hearts series, Mana Khemia 1 and 2, Suikoden 3, 5 and Tactics, all 7 .hack// games. Threadly recommendation goes to The X-Files: Resist or Serve. Such a good RE clone. Great writing amd voice work by the cast. Plays like an X-Files episode on steroids.

You can also play them on PS2 without the shit the bad PC port usually came from, and without trying to get incomplete emulators working. "Multiplat" doesn't really convince me to use anything than the PS2. I have zero reason to try downloading lots of ahit to my work PC.

nah. just going off the one i played most recently "Okage", while the art is cute the game has you going through the same copy/paste dungeons, attacking the same Vase objects for hours and hours, just hitting attack over and over. its shite, 6/10, not worthy of a "best of PS2" thread. people only claim its good cause it didnt sell very well

Overlooked game 3: third person brawler, the kind they dont make anymore. made by the halo people. its far from perfect but parts of it are fucking sick, its hard, the combat is on point, and has some decent innovations. get it on PC desu cause theres a mod community
