Not him, but the slosher touched me basically anywhere it wanted to every single time we met. How do I counter sloshers? I use Tentatek Splattershot and unless I ambush them, I don't stand a chance. With other weapons, even if I take a hit, I can run away and try to heal or lure them into a trap. But sloshers throw so much ink that getting hit once means I get trapped in the ink and the best I can hope for is a tie.

There's a reason that all pros and high rank people in A or S use gyro. There's no aim assist for sticks, it's shit for precision aiming, everyone you see wrecking in higher ranked tiers is always using gyros. Everyone who says they are good with sticks uses the roller or brushes because sub consciously that's the only thing that doesn't require precision so they gravitate towards it.

I got this game for the first time and am already in A-, tried sticks for like 5 minutes and realized that I would be doing more work than people with gyro.

Change to gyro before it's too late.

Yeah agreed. They really missed the mark with this one, so many mind boggling decisions.

Regional matchmaking = 5 minute queues peak hours. The JP community is just so much better, and the lag isn't even really better, nothing gained.

They nerf some weapons and leave others untouched, meaning ranked is once again slosher and blaster hell, turf wars is still dominated by weapons designed for the mentally disabled like the aerospray and octobrush

Nerfs to subs, weaker specials were a good decision, ruined by making them dumber, like auto aiming shit and bomb rush with dumb secondaries.

Winning is still just a coin flip with the amount of disconnects and people inking every single pixel of your base, with no real compensation for doing well.

Some really camp-friendly maps. Also for whatever reason they thought we wanted Moray Towers back, just why.

Salmon Run is the sole redeeming factor but they go and restrict when you can play it, because Nintendo.

The quality of life improvements are neat too but they will not matter for some time still. Another missed opportunity there.

All in all people ragged on Nintendo for this game being too similar to S1 but I feel it would have been better had they just ported S1 instead and added Salmon Run plus some more story levels. A real shame.

Splatting well should help your team even if you ignore objectives but only if you kill key players it seems that you didn't shut down the sniper which made your splats ineffective. If it was anything like the last game you cant really carry by slpats until you get to like A rank since the rest of your team has a chance to be braindead. Like in your case with the amount of splats you had it was like a 2v3 for your team and they still lost. Focus spats around the objective and do them if you must.

I feel the same. I didn't buy a Wii U until the system was already ded, but Splatoon 2 is incredibly fun. I'm still not sure I understand the gyro control meme, for two reasons One, I've tried, and on the Wii U gamepad, it's impossible to play claw. Two, splat dualies, I can't imagine easily being able to jump and/or dodge roll while engaging an enemy while with motion controls on. It reminds me of people using XIM on PS4 in shooter games. Although they can aim easier, the sheer movement abilities of people who have access to the entire controller without ever moving a finger from a zone where buttons are, always outshines people with precise aim.
