I've seen the doc. I honestly don't see what the buffs do to make her top at the moment. The reduced float on 5C? The OD 2D recovering faster? The 3C being faster? I mean these are really good don't get me wrong but top? I see her as A+ with these.

I can say with certainty 90% of people here and in the world haven't played a good Tao. By good I mean confirms into corner carry, into 50/50 ender that confirms into another combo into another 50/50 until KO.

They haven't played against a Tao that triple baits AAs then drops down with her own unique gravity which punishes the fastest AAs on whiff and confirms into combo and back to the corner.

All these tier lists continuously remind me I still cant beat a low tier in the hands of a master.

...... she was top/high tier for like 4-5 games straight, until CP1.1 nerfed her drive.

Her problems are in limited mixup, and constantly nerfed pokes (her drive has actually been nerfed like 5 different times, and those nerfs almost all persisted through to the current version), she actually completely got two air normals (one which was a really good poke in j.B) completely replaced in CF. She still has nothing to compensate for her nerfed drive either, most of her moves have hurtboxes outside of their hitboxes, leading to really poor pokes, albeit long range. Her pressure is actually still pretty good, she still has good frame traps, fairly average damage off most hits, great corner carry into knockdown too. It's just... getting that initial hit is a pain in the ass right now compared to a lot of characters.

She's a high mobility character with bad mixup, slightly good pressure and mediocre pokes now. It made more sense when her drive was actually legit scary. In CP1 you hit somebody from across the goddamn room with j.D~B and get 5k easy. Her abare was actually pretty insane. And I'm not even talking the silly CS1 Tao with Taunt Loop amping her damage up to insane levels (20 meter normal hit 6C doing 8.8k with AB2 ender for instance).

That's not the issue the character currently faces. Her combos are fine, it's neutral and mixup that are real issues keeping her from being a solid character.
