I got stuck on the first boss.... I can't do shit, he pretty much rapes me in two or three hits, his summons won't let me do anything, if I kill the summons they just get resummoned shortly after. I can't grind, can't oil up, I cna't do aything, I'm stuck on the fucking fire dog and there's no way for me to beat it.

There's a skill which makes you immune to pain when you're drunk, get it and drink vodka before the fight.

IIRC the crab also caused bleeding. All it needed was to land one hit for it to just chew you apart with endless status effects.
I ended up cheesing that fight by running around in circles while spamming igni at it.

Huh, I always played this on Hard and once with an FCR mod, Koschey never game me too much trouble.
It was hard to keep Berengar alive, sure, but not killing that thing as far as I remember. Maybe I always was overleveled or some shit tho.
