ITT: insignificant shit you can't get over

Looks like any other metroidvania map.

No, you're not understanding me. In every other 2D metroidvania I've played, the game world is arranged in-universe the same way it's depicted in-game: vertically, with the topmost rooms being the highest in the game world. In Castlevania games the rooms are arranged top to bottom like a real castle; in the 2D Metroid games the further down you go moves you deeper under the planet's surface; etc. etc.
In Ori though, the way the locations are depicted, moving vertically in-game moves you horizontally north/south in-universe
Nobody gives a shit about your autism.

Still salty as fuck about my SINGLE missed collectible in the Forlorn Ruins. I think later they made it so you could go back and do it but I had already long completed the game by then.
Metroid Fusion's map is actually circular. It's still vertically alligned but you can go from Sector 1 to Sector 6 and so on. But the main deck (The hub) stretches down through the middle.

You're Scandinavian or German and it doesn't matter.

This is why I can't play metroidvanias anymore.

I forgot about that. Still though, the way Ori's game world is arranged is such a mindfuck.
