I mean I can see why some wouldn't enjoy it more than the first

but they absolutely improved on the gameplay and open world aspect in 2. the art style is beautiful too.
on an unrelated note, i am so glad that this niche sequel got over 3 hours of orchestrated music. treasure that soundtrack.

I honestly thought gravity rush 2 didn't expand the mechanics of the first game. I don't think its shit but it's not as good as the first one in my eyes. The story so far feels like its there just to be there. I am half way done on the game and I burnt out on it because of doing the side missions.

side missions are optional. it's better if you just do a few inbetween every main story mission because more and more will pop up regardless. they can level you up and give you furniture and shit but it's not mandatory. look up which side missions give you costumes if you care more about that
