i played it for 15+ hours, first two days after release were amazing for me. but then after you unlock all main upgrades for your heroes that were new to you are later only more and more upgrading of the same stuff. also the difficulty rises after 10+ hours and becomes super hard and SUPER GRINDY. also pay to win later

I've been enjoying it. It's come a long, long way since the pre-alpha, and I'd say it's at least worth a shot if only for how unique it feels as a game.

It'll get pretty grindy at power 15+, but I've still been enjoying it considering they keep throwing new things at you pretty consistently.

There's nothing pay to win. There's loot llamas which are essentially the same as Overwatch's loot boxes, but you get plenty of dosh to buy them from doing the missions.

It's fun, though I only started playing two days ago. I honestly hate that there's not feature to just delete a built object and you have to smash it down with your pickaxe.

You can get the same schematic of the same thing but with different level up bonuses
For example cooper rifle A will give damage up 5% at lvl 5 but cooper rifle B will give reduced durability loss at lvl 5
What bonuses you get are completely random

What you do to your home base (and others, if they give you permissions) is persistent. Otherwise, other missions may have you build a small defense around a main point, but it's specific to that mission instance.

Basically.

There's generic missions where you get thrown into a map to do X thing which basically boils down to defend something or rescue something. These are plain old instances.

Every 6 or so missions, you defend your home base against a new wave of zombies. You're given unlimited time to build on your base, you press a button and you face a few waves. They get harder so you'll have to build better down the line

When I played it, the party system seemed jacked.
Besides that, the game is super grindy, which isn't inherently a bad thing on its own, but there's no way to designate whether you are playing to grind or playing levels, which means in any given game, at least one of your teammates gives zero fucks about the objectives and is just smashing cars, or whatever he needs.
What's worse, you can't really be mad at that guy, because you WILL be that guy your fair share of times.

The game is a bit of an enraging RNG fest at times though, like your random hero drop being a mostly great character ruined by an awful ability slot or something.

Seems like a good game. People will play for maybe a month or so, will peter off, even with new updates(if that is a thing), it won't go very far. Reduced to bargin bin price by next year Q1 if not earlier.

im at the point where (as outlander) i just need metal in maps to use in my homebase, if im not getting metal im looking for highlighted loot and chests.
im stuck at power lvl 15 since im not getting epic or legendary heroes/survivors so i need explevels for skill points.

You really don't need Legendary Heroes to push up past 15. While it helps, you can get by with Greens once you get them to 2 Star and have a decent Weapon or two.
It's also a better idea to save pretty much everything you find unless you are running out of space, cause if you put shit in the Collection Book, you can't Evolve it later and will have to replace it.

As long as he has line of sight, he'll attack.
They also won't stray far from their post and won't jump off suicidal ledges, so you can get rid of any guard rails you have and limit the platform for standing to just the one his plate is on.
He will chug ammo like a motherfucker and be begging you for more long before you want him to.
