For trading x3 series is dope
For combat elite dangerous is pretty cool
For exploring im not sure as almost all games has some type of exploring.
For sim type feeling rogue system
For a watered down version of all of this

definitely worth playing, but the learning curve is massive if you want to be successful. It takes a cutesy approach with the kerbals, but the game is very deep. Don't listen to people spouting memes though, go to youtube and look up reviews and gameplay for yourself, if it looks interesting, play it. If not, don't.

I loved it but I have the patience for that sort of thing. Just don't make the same mistake I did when I first bought it and go right into Sandbox mode- Career mode (or at least the mode that lets you earn Science points but not worry about money) does an excellent job at easing you into more and more advanced rocket designs.

I rather enjoyed Rodina. Last time I played it though, they had added in some utterly awful looking alien enemies to shoot while on foot, making the game much less enjoyable. Before that, there was an amazing sense of isolation.

Because of the limited forces it actually simulates, you can get away with some bonkers designs but that's not the focus of the game. If you just want to fuck around like a 12 year old, it won't fight you but you're missing a big part of what makes it satisfying.

I haven't played it a great deal recently but the only thing that comes to mind regarding how they could ruin it with patches is that the patches sometimes break mods. I was getting into it just after one of their major updates and there were some interesting mods I wanted to try that were now broken so I couldn't.

Had I already been accustomed to the inclusion of those mods and essentially had them taken away, I might feel more slighted. Not sure.
