I am just playing Bayonetta 1. I got to that town and fought some two headed dragon in a church.
I have no idea what I am doing or what is happening.

I'd argue the opponents being forgettable is a larger crime. I can't remember a single new enemy off the top of my head other than those bullshit centaurs who would just block out of your combo for no reason.

Bayonetta 2 is a better game if you're a Nintenbro who the game was made for since it was ezpz.

Bayonetta 1 is the overall better game.

Bayonetta 2 is prettier though.

I recently started one, not even on infinite climax but on hard. I think I'm dropping it though. So frustrating. Like, I kill one million enemies in an alfheim and then some little fucker hits me from offscreen for 1 damage and it's over. What a chore.
I made progress but I'm more annoyed than having fun. Don't even want to think about what it would be like without witch time.

Sometimes I feel like the only one who likes Bayo 1's hair better. I think it flows and meshes better with her suit and overall look. Plus it had the "shit got real" mode where she lets it down

2 has the better look since it makes 1 look like Bayo has black toiler paper on her head.

I like the Bayo 1 hair more because it actually made sense for it to be long and flowing considering she extended and transformed it to become monsters. Doesn't make much sense being stylized and short, and then the stuff on Bayonetta 2's outfit looks like armpit hair.

I am normally not a fan of short hair on girls but Bayo's hair in 2 is pretty cute. Long hair is still king though, I prefer her hair in 1 too.

Bayo 1 is a great challenging game but it is dragged down by some very terrible design decisions, like those deathly QTE or the vehicle stages.
Bayo 2 can be a tad easier (but just a tad, it's still a very challenging game) but it is at least designed propely. Plus it has online play.

Also, short hairs is the best (this applies to Jeanne too).

Her hair just binds the demons and lets her control them, they are demons directly pulled from hell.
And her hair in 2 is still long. She used magic to make it look different, like Jeanne did in 1.

I'd adore Bayo 1 without QTEs.
2 just didn't feel as grand in terms of scale/urgency and the final boss wasn't even as good as the regular Balder fights.

This is tough, anon. I like both, but I'll give the crown to Bayonetta 2. I had a more enjoyable experience with it, and I like its design of Bayo herself more.

Though of course I also had a blast with the first game and like the long hair as well.
