Worth 30 bucks?

yeah it's pretty good, if you like mount & blade you'll like BB

It seems nice but it doesn't really have any sort of atmosphere worth noting, or a good world, or a good art direction (even though it's different visually, so it's a plus). If you're rpgcodex type of person that considers simple number crunching turn based combat to be the only measure by which the game is judged, go for it.

I paid like $22 (CAD) for it, and I have put in a good 100ish hours. Definitely fun, the devs listened to loads of alpha input and fixed a lot of issues. I woul!d say, yes, thirty smacks is alright.

Good game but a dead one, no mod support nor any further dlc incoming.

Will get pretty old pretty fast, but you'll have a blast meanwhile.
Wasted potential, but a solid 8 overall.

just use spears

get multiple different types of weapons. Skeletons take like zero damage from spears
orcs get fucked up by swords
axes can cut through undead legion shield walls
pikes/billhook are great secondary weapons for your arches/crossbowmen to switch to when the first line gets into melee.
