To be fair, they prepare you for rank by only allowing players to play a game mode that isn't even in ranked. So much shit in this game makes zero sense.

I fucking love the Rapid Blaster, I hope there's an alt version down the road with the missile special.

It pisses me off so much that you can't properly play a team shooter with friends. Praying for the same team in Regular Battle doesn't count. The only mode where it works reliably is League Battle but for that each person has to play through Ranked Battles on their own which more often than not is fucking infuriating.
Just now had a random who brought the rainmaker to our own base, for fuck's sake. Why the fuck do I have to suffer through this game with random fucking cunts when I could be playing with friends? Who at Nintendo thought that was a good idea, in any way shape or form? Fuck that shit, seriously.

I recently got the pro controller and only charged it once.

Yesterday i charged it a second time, but it is still emtpy. For some reason the USB cable that came with it doesnt work anymore, the AC adapter from the Switch does charge it though.

What in the fuck is up with the damage output of weapons? They don't seem to make sense sometimes. Just had a match where I was using the splatter shot pro and some dude on the other team was using the n-zap gun. We go at it and I hear the audible hit sounds go off four times and then I hear I get hit twice from him and I'm the one who dies. I'd like to add that I didn't not take any damage before we fight. There aren't headshots or anything like that in this game right? If not, I just don't get it.

Being the best at spreading ink in exchange for having a disadvantage when taking on others head-on is kind of the entire point of that weapon. If you want something that is similar but better for combat, then what you want is definitely the Splattershot. You can't make the Aerospray the best at spreading ink and also great for combat. That wouldn't be balancing the weapons. That would be the opposite of that. You can still get kills by using your other tools and ambushing or flanking opponents.

As someone pretty knew to Splatoon it's really fun and satisfying to fill out the map with ink especially with a roller, but the games really needs a few QoL improvements like being able to switch weapons in the lobby and whenever you go into the menu you don't fucking spawn back in the middle of the plaza.

It's mostly the same, except specials are nerfed to no longer be either panic buttons or instant advantage. You now have a rank for each of the 3 ranked modes. The way sub abilities work on clothes has been refined somewhat, with items that will make it more likely for you to get a specific ability and ability chunks, which allow you to put a specific ability on a piece of gear provided you spend a lot of money getting them (but at least it's not a gamble). Single player allows you to use a few different weapons now even without amiibos. There's a 4-player co-op horde mode. There's a food stand where you trade in stamps for food that gives you bonus exp, money, or clothes exp and the ability bonus that I mentioned earlier. There's a new weapon type already out (dualies) and another one (some umbrella shotgun) or maybe more coming soon in an update.

That's about it as far as changes go, I think. You play it instead of 1 because that's where the community moved to and that's where all the Splatfests are going to be for the next two years.

The Aerospray's main role is to ink turf. The problem lies in the fact that the spread that really helps the turfing ability utterly buttfucks you when it's combined with the terrible damage in doing any damage to a target. You have to be point blank range to get a reliable hits and in that range EVERYTHING else will destroy you instantly while you still need to get 5-6 shots off (that hit.) Considering the target will not be standing still for you that also increases the odds of a necessary shot missing because you can't correctly pull a target because of the spread.

This leads to situations where even if you ambush someone and start with the upper hand, you will still lose or have to settle for a trade off. (which is a loss because your main roll is inking turf and you're taken out of the match.) So they should really buff the damage so it takes one shot less to splat some one for balance since you're still at the mercy of an RNG because of the spread, but aren't screwed as badly because you have one less shot to spray and pray for.

If you REALLY need a counter nerf, increase in consumption a bit?

I'm not sure how you got that from his post, but yes, you can, sort of. It's a separate mode, called League Battle, though you do play the ranked gamemodes. You can team up as a pair (and be teams alongside another pair, against another team comprised of two pairs), or four people. It used League Power or whatever, you accrue or lose points for wins and losses, rather than the ranks of ranked mode. There's no C, B, A, S rank, for example.

The ranked mode where you gain points to climb ranks (C-, C, C+, B-) is solo queue with randoms only.

You can grind 1.5 EXP tickets in Octo Canyon. In 2-6, there should a box near the entrance of the lair. Break it open, and inside is a ticket. Go to Inkopolis, go to 2-6 and break open the box again. It's greyed out, but it still counts. I have 120 food tickets because of this method, and there's also a box near 5-27, which is for cash.
