Are there mods that make combat bearable? I already have the one for locational damage. Is there anything that makes it feel less like there's a pole up everyone's collective ass and makes things feel like they have more impact?

I finished everything except some side quests and barely touched dragon born, but I stopped because the loading times reached two plus minutes and that was unbearable, so I just stopped playing, I'd play more if I had an SSD.

It's a fun game to romp around in, I do wish the towns were bigger.

Imagine if the game actually had believable NPCs that behaved like the ones in OP's pic

"Beat" the game once, but I was roleplaying a Character whose only goal was to kill all of the thieves guild for revenge.

Then I made another character to actually play the storyline and all the sex mods broke my game. Interest was lost after that, since everything got spoiled for me anyways.

No interest I'm reinstalling, not even with mods

Lost interest about 3 hours in maybe, after Lydia started following me.

I spent over 30 hours trying out different mods, having to start over the game between almost each try due to conflicting mods. Nothing works, Skyrim is just awful, there is no mod that can make the awful feeling of the entire engine go away.

No but really, I specifically stated that I lost interest after about 3 hours. Of the default game, some months after release which means it had been through patching as well.
It was garbage. It IS garbage. Skyrim is a fucking awful game. It's an awful action game, it's an even worse RPG.

I don't know what it is but the game just makes me want to fall asleep, same thing happens with New Vegas. I think I'm just burned the fuck out on these samey Bethesda RPGs. I'm glad I didn't buy FO4 or I'd just be in the same situation.

I made it passed level 20 once despite multiple attempts to make the game last long via mods.

Completed the main quest and several guilds a number of times, but I can't get back into it knowing builds don't exist and choices don't matter.

The only TES game I have ever beaten is Morrowind.

I got pretty far into Oblivion, but got bored of closing oblivion gates and dropped it.

played it vanilla, did a mage and tried to break the game in as many fun ways as possible like using enchanting to get near 0% magic in every skill, using vampirism to boost stats, and boosting spell damage through the roof with vanilla shit so I don't have to staggerlock everything on vanilla. Got to 81, did the dlcs, had a pretty decent time pushing the vanilla game

then I modded it into a porn/survival game with frostfall and big tiddies, but I find it empty compared to when I played vanilla and always end up uninstalling after 10-20 hours. Skyrim doesn't really have much replay value when you factor in that everything you do is extremely shallow and boring.

Unfortunately all the guild quests as well as the main story.

The Dark Brotherhood was the only one I would have actually done had I known how bad the writing would be and how insignificant the payoffs were. The Civil War questline was also a massive joke

Shame the creator kept adding stupid shit instead of making his mod compatible with DLC's/other stuff, I haven't touched Requiem since 2015. Has he improved on it any?

The only way it was fun to play was with magic. Meme yourself to godhood with alchemy exploits for enchanting abilities to make items of infinite health, stamina and magicka. Restoration potions that give zero cooldown dragon shouts. The melee combat is awful and bows are overpowered but boring to use, so all that's left is magic.

Pirated it once and got to 81 level (~100 hours)
Then bought it and got to 81 level again (~100 hours).
Recently decided to beat everything, including expansions. Got to 110-115 level (~250 hours). The game gave me a lot of enjoyment.
The only mods I used were multiple party members and being able to turn off werewolf form whenever I wanted.
Also, beautiful image. Reminds me a little of pic related.

So how's that nehrim or whatever it was called? The fan made stand alone campaign that started on oblivion but got ported over to skyrim?

I did every single quest during my first playthrough. I spend around 300 hours just playing Skyrim then Dawnguard and Dragonborn.
After that I'd never beat the game for the second time with another character but I began a lot of little playthrough (role-playing) with different characters and of course installing mods.
I spend around 1500 hours of my no-life playing Skyrim... and now I'm doing the same thing with FO4.
