It really has nothing and the E3 was painfully shit. I been meaning to throw it up on Ebay but I'm to fucking lazy to take pictures

Got mine on launch day and it has been great. Hardware isn't too amazing but zeldo is great, fast rmx was fun, never bought shovel knight before so i enjoyed that on vacation, and splatoon 2 has been fun so far.

It'll have great games but I have no idea why anyone wants one now besides Zelda and splatoon.

I might pick one up for Odyssey.

I'm gonna buy it when it has 10 worthwhile games

I usually buy a nintendo platform to go alongside my PC gaming. Very happy with the system and I enjoy having games to play and games to look forward to be playing on the system. This system is a more ideal system for me as I want something versatile and can move around with me either in my room or if I take a break at a coffee shop or something.

Nintendo makes games that I enjoy playing. The only company that regularly makes games I love that don't come to Nintendo consoles is Rockstar and I'm not buying another console just for maybe 1 or 2 games I really enjoy then let it collect dust.

Bought one and have enjoyed it thoroughly. Being able to take it with me while I travel is very handy and stops me from getting bored.
It runs very well too, and the games released on it have all been of an outstanding quality.

Currently playing Splatoon 2. Will be getting Mario Rabbids next month. I plan to get Odyssey and XC2 when they come out too. Will probably pick up a few indie games like Hallow Knight and Darkest Dungeon they should be fun on the go.

What makes a game "for kids"? BotW is a story about a hero who failed and all of his companions died, plunging the world into chaos and sending you on a quest in a barren wasteland full of monsters to try and save what's left before it's too late. That's not very kiddie to me. And as for Splatoon, the unique gameplay would really work with modern military shooter/space marine style visuals, the cute design is really something that has to be there. Gameplay actually has more depth than most shooters have brought to the table these days save for the recent Hero shooters, but I guess since it's colorful and has anime shit characters it's intended for kids right?

I bring up what I said about Splatoon, it wouldn't work with any other visual style. The game's core is about shooting ink and swimming in it to move quickly, hide, win the game, reload, impede the enemy. This style of gameplay is fun, unique, and new, but it wouldn't really work with a different visual style, a space marine swimming in ink would just look weird. It presents itself the way it has to so that it doesn't out of place. Cartoony and colorful is a side effect, not the point. And I stand by Nintendo's reasoning for WW's visuals. They have aged like fine wine compared to Twilight Princess, in an age where the best graphics in the industry look like clumpy milk 5 years later going for a different art style meant to last is better than hyper realism which gets stale fast.

The high purchase rate despite very many games at all is due to the gaurantee more nintendo games will be released later. Nintendo has a good enough track record in making games that there isn't much thought put into buying their next system unless the gimmick is unappealing enough like with the Wii U. It also probably sold better because theres a higher chance of a mainline pokemon game coming out for it and you know how crazy pokemon sells systems.

I'm just telling you it has a lot to do with presentation, if characters in splatoon were adults and paint was blood you'd see everyone call it "edgy" etc etc. The point is you can enjoy whatever you want but a game direction and presentation determines for a huge part who's going to feel concerned by it.

I enjoy mine, not sure why people are upset as fuck about it. Zelda was great, Fast RMX and Snipperclips are fun as fuck with friends, Puyo vs. Tetris is great, and I just beast Disgaea 5 Complete's story, moving on to post game now. Still don't have Splatoon 2 or MK8D unfortunately, because a storm royally fucked up my PC and resulted in having to rebuild everything, so I need to spend conservatively for a month or two.
