There are community servers still up that work with emulators. More people play File 2 though so if you want to play any of the first game you'll have to wait longer for a full room.

Played this shit out of it back on the ps2 when it was released and played it again when the community started. I beat everything on very hard mode already.

I'm done with the game now. Gotta move on to new games. Can't stay stuck at the same shit forever. Backlogs gonna build if I keep playing Outbreak.

Have no idea, but it would be in theory be the best model for episodic content - just add new chapters and characters yearly and merge it with the overall game and also retrofit the previous chapters as you build up the universe. Hell, you could even have a single player campaign.
