No, I literally get motion sickness if a game is at 30fps. It's a shame too considering I want to play Bloodborne and all the great PS4 exclusives really bad. At least Yakuza 0 is at 60fps.

Really depends on the genre/game. If its a FPS I want fast and responsive images. If I play something slow like a turn based rpg or a jump n run I am ok with lower FPS

Yes, it entirely depends on the style of the game. I play CSGO on low settings to get 300+fps at all times, on a 144Hz monitor. I play Bloodborne at ~25fps (my PS4 is old and dying so it's a little worse than average) and it's perfectly playable because that game has a huge input buffer and generous iframes, it's more about planning and acting pre-emptively than reacting.

Obviously on PC where the framerate is variable, more is always better, but there's no point having autistic fits over the framerate of a console game, something you can never ever change.

Only if its absolutely solid and with equally good frame pacing. As a carfag Forza Horizon 3 and Driveclub are acceptable, but bullshit like WRC 6 on consoles isn't.

It really depends if I have other good games to play. 30FPS makes games unpleasant to play and being unpleasant to play makes games worse, if not outright bad. With so much choice and so many games nowadays I'll more often than not play something else, there's so much out there I'll never play it all anyway.

Depends entirely on the genre. Fast, input heavy and twitch reaction games need 60 FPS to feel properly responsive, slower games like RPGs, puzzle games, etc don't need 60, though it's appreciated

back when i was good at quake 3, i had to turn off the rocket launcher trails to keep my framerate to going down to 3 fps

i can tolerate low framerate
but low framerate on a console is unacceptable, because you can't throw beefier hardware at it

Bloodborne's input buffer is largely because of the low frame rate. Dark Souls 1 works the same way, it becomes rather obvious if you try the PC version with and without enabling DSfix's FPS unlock even when you still force 30 FPS with it. The game actually becomes more responsive with it for some reason, even without turning it up to 60 where it happens for an obvious reason.
I can agree that souls games feel satisfying because they're not twitchy but the controls feeling more responsive is still preferable.

Depends entirely on the genre. I'm not going to play an fps aside from doom or any fighting game at 30 fps but it's literally just fine for every other genre. I prefer 60. Anything higher than 60 is cool but mostly unneeded.
