Get either a shitty chinese one that's so cheap it doesn't matter how crappy it feels or get something decent enough worth paying money for.

Everyone has smartphone but it's not as flexible for emulating as you might think. Some stuff is well coded like PPSSPP but not all that much.

I'm a console/PC gamer. I've never once delt with mobile phones that have droid/IOS capabilities simply ebcause I don't believe in them. As such I'd never spend $400+ on a phone. but since this was a birthday gift, and more of a "You need this now" sort of deal, i might as well accept it.
