I think I just simply named him Yoshi or something, I can't remember & don't want to check my original game right now.

Personality wise: Bow for 64, Goombella for TTYD
Combat wise: Watt for 64, I don't know about TTYD, I usually swap a lot for the best strategy, I guess I'll just say Vivian like most do.

I prefer PM64 but I honestly think the 2 balance themselves out in quality. TTYD added a shitload of great ideas in combat & story but suffered in some other areas such as backtracking which PM64 lacked for the most part (Flower Fields is the only time it comes to mind to me). Also I heavily prefer the art style in 64, TTYD's art style is still great to me but I don't think it can hold a candle to the original's style.

In my personal opinion yes, but I only played 64 a year ago so there's no nostalgia factor

I kind of wish there was a thread for Paper Mario Pro Mode, since I just finished that. It was fun fighting Koopa Bros with 50 HP each when they're all buffing eachother.

I wouldn't mind a pro-mode for TTYD. That would be neat-o.

Design: Bow/Parakarry and Bobbery
Combat: Parakarry and Vivian

I gained a new respect for Parakarry with my recent playthrough. He hits hard with Shellshot for a low cost (7 damage for 3FP or something) and Air Raid is easier than Tidal Wave to execute for hitting the whole screen. Does more damage than Spiny Surge too.

Ehh. I kind of like the atmosphere of 64 better. Which might be because of the art style. Plus I liked the partners better in 64 too. I was having a hard time choosing design for TTYD because none of them stood out too much for me.

Vivian was my first life experienced getting TRAPPED. She was my waifu as a kid until I went online and found out Nintendo made her a tranny for no god-damn reason. First time I felt utterly betrayed by them.

PM 64 has a faster battle system which I think is cool. TTYD is stupidly easy too. Still TTYD's story and bantz are legendary.
