Everything the Disney Company did in the last few years was mediocre at best, including the Marvel MCU, Star Wars, the live action remakes, etc. Also, since they bought Marvel, they've been using their IPs to make movies while leaving the comics to rot and actively sabotaging the IPs they couldn't make movies of. It's way more probable they'd treat Nintendo the exact same way.
