Nah, you're just bad at games and enjoy newer games because they've been made to be playable by the largest demographic possible, unlike older games which were forced to be niche due to the smaller gaming market at the time.

3D did age harshly but I can still easily go back and play Twisted Metal 2, which has horrid physics and terrible graphics, and still enjoy the fuck out of it because it is a well made game and it will always be a well made game.

Games age with time, but they do not become bad over time.
