Just played it the first time. Actually enjoyed it, except the atrocious melee. Also the biggest enemies seemed to be fucking stairs.

If you have maxed stealth you can just crouch walk into the geodudes and then won't attack you.

Yeah, Protean (the claw-discipline) is a bit unintuitive in that the last upgrade isn't a straight bonus because it transforms you, so it can be better to leave it at the penultimate level so you just get the claws.
The independent ending is definitely the most fun, even if I personally prefer the Anarch one.

Use Celerity and remember to use Presence to debuff your enemies. On the whole Toreador bonuses synergize really well with guns, but there's nothing wrong with building a melee one.

Probably the illusion of honesty that ming xiao cultivates when she reveals her alliance with lacroix by her own volition, something that noone else does. However, the game also rewards inquisitive players that read the cathayan's emails about the kuei jin's plot against kindred and their general disdain for them. Players can also find top secret emails at the mandarin's place locked behind a 10 lockpick door which reveals that she is funding both the tong and the mandarin to find ways to kill kindred, preparing for war.

Disciplines are there to make combat more interesting, use them. Just swinging a sword or shooting a gun is the most awful thing.
