The main difference is, that Brave Souls has action combat, so it is more enganging and sometimes it feels good to play the weaker characters for the fun, because their gameplay is different from others.
And a good 5* ratio with often 2x bonus (so 6% chance for 5*).

this game is much like a fun flash game you would play as a child, except with a lot of unlockable characters from bleach and the usual gatcha power up/material gathering systems with some of the best f2p model and orbs you can ask for in a gatcha game. i played fire emblem heroes initially, but the amount of shit you can do in this game is staggering compared to fire emblem so if you are the type of guy that likes farming for stuff and actually being able to use your hard earned characters to do challenging missions then you might have fun with it

you can get pretty far with 4 stars early on thanks to manual dodging and whatnot (plus equipment exists), but ideally you want 5 stars from the gatchas.
5 stars can become 6 stars, and then later break the level cap to 200.

there's a handful of 5 star characters better than others, and you want these for pvp rank rewards and higher difficulty raids/challenges.
they always pop up for gatcha events though, so its not quite reroll city.
get this new ichigo or the fb ichigo right now though.

pro tip, look at their stats at level 200, primarily their attack and SP, if they break 670 in either stat or they average at 650 for both then its a great character
