Depends on whether you want stuff that's rooted in reality or stuff that's firmly fantasy gear.
Some of the best sets in the game are the low/mid-level tank sets, but you also get some fantastic crafted stuff around lvl 60, especially if you wanna go for that crusader vibe. Gold and white is a winning combination.

ok you faggots twisted my arm, i only played until like 2.2 then briefly checked out the first expansion which was just more of the same. now, i glanced at WHM and there are all these new abilities and shit about "lilies on healing bars", is the gameplay actually good now? i really hated how basic the class design was. i could come to terms with ARR being WoW, but not WoW with even more spartan kit design.

It's a game that I would say is highly accessible but suffers because of it. Almost all content is accessible at low levels, which means it gets boring real quick. Higher difficulties generally only increase outgoing damage, and in the few cases there's new mechanics (Luther on XH) it's pretty much ignored. It also has vertical gear progression, which means that older but more fun/alternate quests have no one playing them (riding quests come to mind).

If you don't have a schedule that is similar to Japan's timezone don't bother, either, because relevant Emergency Quests are only available to play for half an hour at specific times of day

The story as I've heard it is that some guy got made people were posting screenshots of his character without his permission and set up bots to spam the threads with random posts from other /vg/ threads. He even comes back now and then and updates his bots for the "workarounds" people have created like namefagging and filenames.

This has been going on for months and the mods have done nothing.
