Street Fighter V Thread

Not really looking forward to.

I'm just an Ultra Bronze Akuma. I have been for basically ever. I'm happy where I am.

Skill ceiling still feels too low. Watched CEO 2017 Top 8 in person and the Akuma player I observed didn't show me anything that I felt like I wasn't doing myself. I don't see how to get better at this game given the constraints.

Made it to Gold in season 1, stopped playing ranked for the rest of the season, tried again in season 2, and then quit ranked again because Ryu is garbage now and ranked is filled with Balrog players

I was looking forward to Hinata from RS as the next character after Abigail, but that doesn't look to be the case, so I don't give a fuck about the rest of the season. If I can't get a Rival Schools character any time after, Sagat and Makoto are my biggest wants

I haven't played in a while because ever since the patch, matchmaking has been awful and it takes like 30 mins to find one match

Super Bronze Nash, can't even make it to Ultra. I honestly got most of my rank by spamming Juri's light DP over and over because shitters don't know how to deal with it. Now I'm afraid to play ranked because I lose way more casual matches with Nash than I win, despite having more knowledge of his normals, specials and combos than I do with Juri. Pls help.

Silver Chunners but I don't really play much anymore. Matchmaking is too slow imo and when I was still playing a lot too many ragequitters ruined my mood constantly.

The game is boring and uninspiring. The characters are so simple that you can't develop your own playstyle at all. Also the oki is a dumb 50/50.

I think I just don't like SF. The only good thing about it is the big playerbase, and that doesn't make the game itself good.

Let's talk about a better street fighter game.

Mika, Ultra Gold but haven't played the game in like 4 months now. They killed Mika by removing her frame advantage after a v-reversal and her mid screen wall bounce but gave her some useless air target combo... She's just too honest now and to win I have to improve my neutral and play godlike footsies like Fuudo's and that's not fun. The gameplay of this game is so limiting and boring. Quiet the downgrade from previous games.

What the fuck are you talking about? Its got a problem of "take your turn cause you whiffed" with no escape options and a sheer lack of wakeup across the board but randomness? What? You're at Gold. I know for a fact it comes down to fundamentals at around Super Gold and up.
