There are only 15-20 moves worth using in most characters, only 5-10 or so you need to know for matchup purposes and how to punish. It's not that counterintuitive.

You still have to go through the full 150 to learn which 20 are the best though. And just because you're best 20 might not be the other guy's best 20 he could still throw out one of the other 130 moves you didn't plan for and win the match. You really need to know them all, preferably with frame data too.

There is no mindgames, adjustment, whatsoever. Compare this to asian tourneys with JDCR, Knee, Saint, and Nobi they have so thorough knowledge of the game that cheap tricks doesn't work and they have to adjust back in forth

Tekken 7 was a sever downgrade for everyone that isn't a hardcore FGC dick sucker that asked full price for a game that didn't even have half the content of Tekken 2 and what it did have was done worse than in previous versions (treasure mode being an inferior ghost mode for example or customization being worse than the constantly complained about TTT2 customization) it had a useless as fuck and badly done story mode that was inferior to the traditional arcade mode (also that sweet ass intro art is gone now) and the PC version didn't even get Jukebox or classic costumes. It also added an "I win" button that does a SF/Injustice style special move that feels very out of place and the overall presentation of the game is very cheap.

Worse than Tekken 4.

Why are you disappointed? It is a good game, with decent mechanics, netcode could be better sure, but I would say it is ahead of SFV. Also you don't have to pay 3.99 each for cosmetics and grind for colors like SFV, and you get near infinite variations on how do you want your characters to look. I can't think of anything Harada could do better with respect to Tekken 7 and Tag 2 (Tekken 6 on the other hand was rough)

Tekken 7 comes with more content than Injustice 2 or SFV. It comes with more content than most fighting games nowadays. I do agree that story mode is worse than character specifics arcade mode, and the character endings are not as good.

The sales are ok, the problem is people dropping the game after a month. At that point for a fighting game you would've played all the single player content anyway.

Factually wrong. Tekken 7 is missing modes from Tekken 2 let alone being able to complete with the sheer mass of things to do in Injustice 2. I have both and I experienced everything Tekken 7 had to do in a couple of days and got bored shortly after, Injustice 2's multiverse mode alone keeps me playing because it updates every few hours with new challenges and shit to unlock. Tekken 7 isn't even half a game and it charges full price for it.

People are dropping it because only a small percentage of people are FGCfags and the rest can only be interested in a couple of modes for so long.

If you're normies and wanted to only play single player content, you never counted in the first place because you'll never show up either anywhere mid level online (where the bulk of the play is), watch tournament streams, or go to your local tournaments. The game is dead even among FGC goers in the west.

The actual online is more pitiful than that. Either 80% of those people are playing single player or there's complete full retard filtering going on that you can't bypass. I've been playing T7 almost every day and I literally keep seeing the same names every fucking day. This is with connection set to 4-5 and rank to "any". SFV has the third of the concurrent playerbase at any given point and I never came to a point where I get so many repeat fights with people at like the same latency restrictions.

No singleplay content = dead game. Despite what the gay memers would like you to believe, the majority of fighting game players are casuals who love SP content. This is the reason why Injustice 2 shits all over T7 when it comes to sales and player numbers as well ac critic review scores.

This happens to any fighting game that isn't SF, and SF only barely manages to be the exception, with a lot of work to make that happen.
