It continued a story that was finished and didn't need to be continued any further. The worst thing you could do for a gaming franchise is make a sequel after the previous title's whole fucking phrase was "Finish The Fight."

You know what Bungie did? They made prequels after 3 because they're not as incompetent as 343 is. They should have just made prequels instead, that way you can still have The Covenant and Eric Nylund's characters if you so please.
