What is it with people who play literally nothing but sports

They can get away with it because sports don't change their rules, so obviously all the devs have to do it update the roster

My dad would play the yearly Madden game, and every year he would just play the Saints against the Patriots. When he got it on the 360 I asked him if he wanted to try the online and play against other people but he said he wasn't interested. He didn't do the tacked on story mode or anything, just played the same team against the same other team.
Looking back I think it's pretty weird how he would spend 60 bucks to do the same thing he did last year but then again weebs eat up games like Neptunia, which is literally full of recycled content.
