Oh don't mind me energy fags who had to upgrade their energy weapon skill to 6 to use this piece of shit. I'm just using the grenade launcher which you can use with one skill point in heavy weapons. Enjoy your Tier 3 gun that only works on robots while I enjoy my awesome tier 1 grenade launcher that works on anything.

Doesn't work on ghouls or mutants.
Works on humans, but not ones in power armor.
Humans not in power armor can be killed easily with any weapon

EMP Rifle really isn't that bad. I did an Energy build on Impossible difficulty in one of my playthroughs and had to fall back on my Rapier & Laser Pistol for the rumblers and stuff (which is aids but doable), but the EMP Rifle just one shots all of the mechs which is super helpful on Rec Deck.

The Grenade Launcher in SS2 is actually bugged so that the first upgrade for it that is meant to make it do +10% more damage actually does +110% more damage, so it's just retardedly op and that combined with all the different ammo types trivializes basically every other weapon in the Heavy category. It ends up doing more damage than the upgraded Fusion Cannon and the Shield Generator is just fucking useless since you can just instagib everything with the Grenade Launcher instead of using it for its intended function (stunning stuff, switching to the Grenade Launcher and hitting it a few times with the right kind of grenade).

Standard is just godly throughout the entire game though. Armor Piercing & Anti-Personnel rounds are so versatile. Exotic is a fucking meme mess and the crystal is good for melee playthroughs but other than that they are bad and cost so much to invest in and use.
