From gamestore, ebay, amazon etc. It's not hard. PS2 sold like 150 million copies and was made as long as to 2014 so it's not rare by any means

You forgot to mention DLC in your post. But I'm the same. Didn't sell my shit but have my GameCube Xbox and ps2 plugged in and ready to play and have quite a large rare library. Realized a little over a year ago that there were no good games out for the PS4 and that in general there was nothing good on the horizon.

Probably will sell my PS4 when I decide to invest in a proper gaming PC. I'm also deff getting a switch because that's a true gaming console unlike Wii U or Xbox one PS4.

The Switch has the potential to be as good as a 6th generation console, but that's about it. I'm really disappointed in the PS4 and Xbone, very little exclusive games to make the purchase worthwhile.

The market has shifted to catering to people who only want one console or machine that can do everything, hence the abundance of multi-platform games. They are the majority mainstream audience and most likely didn't game or gamed very little pre-7th gen.

I personally feel disillusioned because I enjoyed the times where all consoles of a generation were worth owning and had awesome libraries.

I was able to put Persona 5 into my PS3 and start the game.
My friend with his PS4, had to install Persona 5 first because the PS4 is fucking terrible.

They did, but there is little that can be done about that now. Prevalence of online has had permanent changes done to game development and distribution. The Switch already has a paid subscription for online play in the works for example.

All we can hope for is that there are plenty of games that are really good, cause that's the most important part. I enjoyed Zelda and Odyssey and Xeno 2 look sick, and because of Nintendo's shift after the Wii U I believe more good shit is in the works.

I stopped playing vidya about 2012 because of travelling and then eventually bought a ps4 in 2016 after being out of the loop, I remember being so confused when I put in the disc and it not just starting but requiring a long install.

But that is the whole point of this thread. Older games/consoles being better because it was carefully made to be of a quality.

This specifically doesn't bode well for a company especially like Nintendo since they have forever been known for having quality. You can excuse the average AAA developer because no one gives a shit about them, but Nintendo? Quality is expected. I don't have the Switch yet, but people have complained the parts aren't that great, my Gamecube is still going strong and feels sturdy.

Yeah, and that's why I glad Nintendo is still in the console market. Sure, day one, bugs and issues were all over the place that they have to fix, and sometimes they fuck up (*cough* voice chat), but they still manage to make good games and keep those 6th gen features while applying new ones on their systems. It's the same reason people may buy a Nintendo console with along with a PS4 or PC.
