Some chapters are nigh impossible to understand at a normal reading pace. Characters will randomly be referred to by different names.

I'm drunk, so my mind is wandering - but you know that Dietrich guy in the Reich -- was Artyom in love with him or something? He said 'you're mine' and slapped Artyom on the ass before putting him in the concentration camp, and in the next chapter A keeps wondering when he'll come back

Anon, I read it in Polish and we have 10/10 spot on translations for Metro books. It's legitimately written in extremely chaotic manner.
The beginning has slow as molases pacing with Artyom irradiating himself all day erry day because muh Nigger Ones PTSD, the whole deal with Anna etc. But when he leaves the station with Homer it's a series of completely random shit.
Like the fucking guy with the Egg, the fucking Shit Carrier Boy, the slavery in the mines, the fucking human hunter car on the surface and so on.
It's so fucking dumb and random like holy shit.

I did enjoy the reveal at the radio station but I felt the whole Polis scenes afterwards were so jumbled and rushed. Artyom sends off his pals and within a day or two they all return to betray him

To add to this, it also applies to 2033 Redux obviously. And the AI lobotomization is also thanks to consoles since the modern consoles have garbage CPUs that are literally tablet hardware (there are tablets that use those same CPUs) and cna't handle more complex AI
In addition to that, 2033 Redux has these extra complaints:

>Inconsistent as fuck model quality (some models replaced with LL models while others are left untouched so it looks like two different people made them)
>Armored Chimeras removed entirely
>Worse designs for Demons
>Fuckton of volumetric fog and lighting from the original release got removed, again thanks to console
