Rhythm Heaven Megamix is the Magnum Opus of the series and the stupid story suprisingly works well given how many games there are. This is possibly the only chance we'll have this set up

I accept DK64's flaws and never being bothered by them, easily my favorite 3D Platformer, having 5 different playable characters makes it fun

OoT's a cornerstone of 3D game development, devs were tripping over themselves and writing notes on what it and Super Mario 64 did right in the late 90s. The design is still solid in this day and age and nostalgia is definitely a factor for those who grew up with it, but in the grander scheme of things its a groundbreaking action adventure title. There was something really fun about Mad Max that I don't understand. Sure it was an open world grind-fest that I've been putting a lot of hours into, but when it shines, it really shines. Megamix is horribly flawed. All the new stages are stupidly easy and the music is all rave-y electronic music. And the remixes are too short. And it didn't have an endless remix mode.

Did you hate the gameplay? Because, for a run 'n gun, it has great gameplay, with all the movement options (locking your aim, and your stance) and all that. And the variety in the stages is great. The only complaint I can see is, the game being mostly a boss-rush, but for me, that's what make the game great. And Contra Hard Corps was a boss-rush too, so it's not the first time a Contra game with that style.

The artstyle is also one of my favorite parts of the game, plus Akira Yamaoka's music.

It's easily the best Contra game. I think the creator said it's his favorite Contra game too.

Also, did you get stuck on a level, because if you're having trouble you can: easily beat every boss with charged fireblast I sometimes play with the machinegun just to challenge myself though.

How? I'm legitimately curious as to why you think Asura's Wrath deserves a 10/10 since I personally dropped it pretty quickly. The whole "game" is essentially just a massive cutscene with some occasional QTEs thrown in for "gameplay". Like, I just sat there watching as the game played itself for like 20 minutes. At first I was going to be kind of a jackass about it then I realized that I'm 33 years old now and ZoE was a legitimately long time ago now and never ever got a richly deserved ZoE 3, so it's kind of excusable if you aren't into mecha games. That made me kind of sad, with Kojima gone and not holding the IP the franchise is almost certainly dead forever.

If you do enjoy mech stuff it's worth a spin. You don't need to play the first one, which had a spark but was really, really rough in terms of engine/gameplay/polish. They give you enough summary of what happened before anyway, and it's a whole new story. But ZoE 2 isn't long and is a quality run.

Definitely give it another shot, some screens are like that but it's nothing more than a minor annoyance. You'll probably need to consult a walkthrough to find all the endings though.

Swordcraft Story probably isn't one most anons would think of or agree with because it's a pretty simple concept overall. But it was just so damn well executed that for what it was it was perfect (and better then the sequel). All the elements weren't super complex or ambitious or anything, but they all gelled, the pacing was good, the writing and characters were all fun, the gameplay had just enough to it to be a consistently fun time. I know it's a mere GBA game, and ain't no CT or whatever, but I still legit think it's 10/10.

I know this game is full of flaws and might even be objectively shit, but no other game has made me feel like this game. I've never been simultaneously so hopeless and yet so full of wonder and curiosity at the same time.

And the setting just feels like someplace I've been before. The atmosphere of the town before the disaster feels like something I imagined as a kid.

As much as I love the Trails series in general, Crossbell and the crew in this game felt a lot better to me than Sora.

Its a fun littl game kinda close to a crossup between ZoE, megaman legends and a dating sim. With superfast gameplay and radical boss characters including a Char clone, i cant recommend it enough. Only in japanese and on the saturn though.

A key part of the story is Neku learning to let others in and to think about other people as more than just a nuisance.
In the DS version this is also part of the game-play where you both have to watch over neku and his current partner, Having them work together makes them more effective due to fusion pins and passing the light puck.

The gameplay in the mobile version While still a really fun game tells you that Neku is actually better off alone and that the partners aren't worth the effort.
