Game suggestion

I'm looking for a good game recommendation to play as a co-op thing with my girlfriend. We're extremely different in the style of how we play, so finding a match is a bit of a pain.
I'm reasonably good at games and tend to be progression focused - getting better gear, taking down new bosses, continuously making my character stronger.
She's not particularly talented, panics hard if anything attacks her, and likes to build nice things.

Previously we've played Terraria and Starbound which were fairly perfect for us since I could gather resources and fight bosses while she built nice houses. The available playtime unfortunately was limited by me powering through too quickly and ending up with the best gear whilst she was still decorating bedrooms. I know, I need to take things a bit slower.

The main option I was considering is Don't Starve, has anyone played the multiplayer of this and can comment on it? I'm open to all suggestions.
