Talewords are goddamn perfectionists.
I was in the closed beta for Mount & Blade (not warband) when it originally came out and the game was goddamn bug-free. They used the beta to add features.

I'm now soon to be in the closed beta for Bannerlord, already played the alpha version. It's pretty fucking good, they're trying to include a lot of features from popular mods such as Nova Aetas, though. The scope of the game has changed due to the expectations and works of the modding community.

We got no info about that but it seems likely, alpha updates stopped during the habbening in turkey.

I already gave you an example. If you know the mod "Nova Aetas" you can imagine what they're working on. Combat and ragdolls and physics are finished, but background mechanics and "depth" is added right now.

Nova Aetas tries to incorporate a real strategy/diplomacy/roleplaying game into M&B warband, that's what taleworlds are aiming for in beta, to expand the scope of that aspect of the game.
