not him but I never actually grinded in Borderlands (2). I just make a new char once I hit 50 or get bored and play through the story again and shoot at things. And that is 600 hours in. I have only one level 72 and even on that I really couldnt get around the "google a weapon, walk to a spot, kill this enemy until rng drops a weapon" gameplay.

This is literally every monhan ever. Tri in particular isn't even that grindy compared to every G-rank game.

Probably the most grinding is in Freedom United, which demanded at least two 1% chance drops from the strongest version of the respective monster to make most decent armor sets. The top-notch sets would require fucking five drops however and the best weapons could ask you for up to three from different monsters.

This problem was horrible considering that Freedom United only had local multiplayer so unless you had a bud, you just gotta kill the monster yourself. Let me tell you, not easy at all, considering how fucking fast, ball-bustingly powerful and/or spongy monsters would get and how much artificial difficulty was in the game compared to recent titles (Plesioth hitboxes anyone?). Also good fucking luck doing arena quests solo with two or more monsters.

Failing time and time again to get that rare material after what was at best a 15 minute hunt, but more frequently was between 30-40 minutes was pretty fucking soul-crushing.

Fortunately, most Elder Dragons dropped it and online multiplayer made it a fucking cakewalk compared to literally everythang in MHFU.

Black Desert Online is literally grinding the game. Literally. Grinding is all the content the game has, there are no dungeons or raids or anything. All you do is grind mobs to try to get the highest level possible, which at some point takes literal months of playing to gain even 1 more level.

Phantom Pain. Takes 1600+ hours to develop all the equipment. Also you have to have been active for the last 2 years to get the event equipment.

You're just grinding for mastery levels. You have to craft for everything that takes IRL hours to finish. You have to grind for mods to drop, then grind again to increase the mod levels. Repeat ad nauseam for every weapon, frame, equipment, etc in game.
