That's why I'm wondering why it wasn't Ketchup v Mustard or something.

The more curious part of this splatfest is Red and Offwhite/yellowish for the colors when it's something they explicitly avoided.

Even with the pokemon splatfest, which used a fuschiaish red instead of straight up #FF0000 red. the only time they used questionable colors was the japanese only Kirin Tea one that had cream and lemon colored ink

Although ketchup truly is objectivelly better than mayo, the comparison between cakes and ice cream is beyond retarded.
Cakes are a mix of several possible things, INCLUDING FUCKING ICE CREAM, while ice cream is ALWAYS milk+ something and frozen.
